Job summary

Palo Alto Hospital in Texas is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support care providers during general anesthesia, invasive monitoring and vascular access, ensuring supplies and equipment are ready for each procedure.

The role requires coordinating restocking, cleaning and light maintenance of anesthesia equipment, and maintaining a collaborative relationship with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Completion of Anesthesia Technician Certification program and certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles supplies and equipment as appropriate for scheduled procedures.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports anesthesia care providers during general anesthesia, invasive monitoring and vascular access procedures within the main OR and all anesthesia supported satellite areas. Maintains supplies on-hand as may be required by Anesthesiologist. Assembles supplies and equipment as appropriate for scheduled procedures. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on anesthesiology equipment. Performs assigned duties promptly and efficiently. Responsible for restocking, maintain appropriate supplies as needed for both scheduled and urgent/emergent procedures. Complies with instructions from the supervisor to whom responsible and maintains a good working relationship with patients, and other Health System employees and guests.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent experience and at least two years experience in a hospital with similar anesthesia operations is preferred. Completion of Anesthesia Technician Certification program and certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred. Current CPR certification is required.
