Overview

This 30-year-old regional private practice, performing over 60,000 anesthetics annually, is seeking a board-certified Anesthesiologist with at least two years of experience. The practice offers options to partner, with a mix of hospital-ASC, primary hospital, or primary ASC settings. The culture is physician-centric, collegial, and encourages participation in quality initiatives, hospital committees, service line liaison roles, and group governance. Board members are elected biennially. The group hosts social events such as dinners, harbor cruises, and beach celebrations.

Practice Locations

The practice covers three hospitals in Maryland: Annapolis, Lanham, and Prince Frederick. Additionally, there are 35 diverse ASCs throughout central Maryland, Baltimore, and within 25 minutes of Washington, D.C.

Employment Options

Partnership Track

• $550,000 base salary for the first two years
• $50,000 sign-on bonus paid at signing
• Year two: $550,000 base + up to 90% of profit sharing (potentially over $630,000)
• Year three: full partnership with no buy-in; average earnings $700,000 - $750,000 annually, with some earning seven figures
• MSO participation available
• Workweek averages 50-55 hours
• Settings include hospital and ASC environments
• Approximately 90% of cases are self-directed
• Call schedule: Q5 weekends, Q10 weekday, plus 5 late shifts per month
• Additional income opportunities: ASC directorship and service liaison roles
• No airway coverage required
• Time off: 7 weeks plus 1 week personal time initially; 8+ weeks once partnered
• Benefits include 401(k), T. Rowe profit sharing, $5,000 expense account in the first two years, full benefits, and $10,000 employer contribution towards benefits in the first two years
• Malpractice insurance with tail coverage; no non-compete clause

Non-Partnership Options

Monday through Friday, daytime only, with 10 weekends of call per year (no weekday call):

• Salary: $525,000 for a 50-hour workweek
• $50,000 sign-on bonus paid at signing
• Benefits include full coverage, 401(k), profit sharing, and expense account
• Time off: 7 weeks plus 1 week personal
• Settings: hospital, ASC, or combination
• Coverage: approximately 90% of cases

No Call, No Lates

• Salary: $450,000
• Monday to Friday, 50 hours/week, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Benefits include full coverage, 401(k), profit sharing, and expense account
• Time off: 7 weeks plus 1 week personal
• Settings: hospital, ASC, or combination
• Coverage: approximately 90% of cases
