The primary need is for anesthesiologists to join their multispecialty anesthesia division, which includes neuroanesthesia, regional & acute pain, pediatric, and obstetric specialties. There are also opportunities for those with critical care and cardiac fellowship training or expertise.

The Department of Anesthesiology at WVU has experienced significant growth since 2016, contributing to the success of WVU Health. The core facility, J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, is a 700+ bed academic medical center with a Level 1 trauma center and a Level 2 pediatric trauma center. The anesthesia team manages over 43,000 procedures annually.
