Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens support in Alexandria, VA, starting ASAP. The role includes a Monday–Friday, 40‑hour schedule with supervision of CRNAs and performing own blocks. Epic EMR is used for documentation and patient care coordination.

The ideal candidate holds board certification in anesthesia with ACLS, BLS and PALS. VA licensure or eligibility is required, and AMN assists with malpractice coverage, travel, and lodging as part of the engagement.

Qualifications

• Board Certification required for Anesthesiology.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Virginia medical license or active license in process (IMLC acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Supervise CRNAs and perform own anesthesia blocks.
• Maintain patient safety and quality care during procedures.
• Coordinate with team using Epic EMR for documentation.
