Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens support in Alexandria, VA. The provider will supervise CRNAs and perform own blocks, covering a 40-hour work week with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Candidates must be board certified in Anesthesiology, with ACLS, BLS, and PALS; Virginia license required or eligible, and experience with Epic EMR. The role offers malpractice insurance and travel/lodging support through AMN Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Virginia license required or eligible.
• Board certification in Anesthesiology.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Experience supervising CRNAs and managing blocks with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CRNAs and perform own anesthesia blocks.
• Provide anesthesia care for daily shifts across multiple ORs.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and maintain patient safety.
• Comply with facility policies and documentation requirements.
