Qualifications

  • US citizenship is required or allowed per VA policy.
  • MD or DO degree from VA-approved school.
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license in US.
  • Residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
  • Residency training details per VA qualifications standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct peri-operative anesthetic care and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide peri-operative care from pre-operative assessment to post-anesthesia care.
  • Offer expert consultation to CRNA, nursing, and other medical staff.
  • Complete progress notes, operative reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Provide patient education and maintain high standards of care.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and privileges in all aspects of Anesthesiology.
