Posting Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School seeks a qualified General Anesthesiologist for five per‑diem positions. The rate is $350 per hour and the appointment is effective 01/01/2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site anesthesia services to adult patients at University Hospital and the Stone Center.


• Deliver anesthesia services in The University Hospital Main Operating Rooms, the Stone Center, same‑day‑surgery ORs in the Doctor’s Office Center, and other off‑the‑floor locations.


• Intraoperatively teach residents.


• Collaborate with surgical staff clinically and administratively.


• Complete medical records in accordance with NJMS and hospital policies within seven days of service.


• Submit all charge documentation within fourteen days of service.


• Prepare Medicare time studies or other required documentation for program services.


• Perform other duties assigned by the Chair.

Qualifications
