Qualifications

• Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from US/Canada with appropriate accreditation.
• Licensure: current, active license or registration as a Physician in a US jurisdiction.
• Graduate training: at least one year of supervised clinical experience after degree.
• Residency training: completed accredited residency in Anesthesiology with at least 4 years.
• Salary determination: salary is determined after offer based on specialty, grade and location.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services to all categories and types of patients requiring surgical or procedural intervention.
• Administer appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic nerve blocks in the treatment of acute and chronic pain.
• Oversee activity of recovery room and administer appropriate drug and respiratory therapy in the recovery room setting.
• Instruct nurse anesthesia students, physicians, interns, and physicians rotating through the Anesthesiology Service in the proper administration of anesthesia.
• Perform the most advanced diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Make treatment recommendations for the full treatment regimen involving knowledge of new techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
