Anesthesiologist opportunity at our new site, Gulf Coast Medical Center in beautiful Ft. Myers, Florida – Full Time, Call-Taking. As the largest hospital in the Lee Health system, Gulf Coast Medical Center houses the only Level II Trauma Center between Bradenton and Miami, a Neuroscience Institute, orthopedic, oncology and cardiology services, and much more. Gulf Coast is a 624-bed hospital with 22 Operating Rooms. An accredited, comprehensive stroke center features minimally invasive catheter procedures to treat stroke patients. Case Assignments include General, Endo, Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, GYN, Urology, Radiology, ENT. Responsibilities include assisting in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients under anesthesia during surgery and other procedures, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining/verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license. The role is full-time and call-taking at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL.
