Job summary

Veterans Health Administration's Eastern Colorado Health Care System in Denver, CO seeks an Anesthesiologist. The staff physician provides clinical anesthesia services to eligible veterans, solo or supervised, with duties across pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia periods.

Responsibilities include collaborating with residents and CRNAs, teaching, and ensuring patient safety. Applicants must hold MD/DO, full US license, completion of ACGME/AOA residency, and board certification for faculty status

Qualifications

• US citizenship required unless eligible under VA policy.
• MD or equivalent degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency training approved by VA or equivalent.
• Board certification may be required for faculty status.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical anesthesia services to eligible veterans.
• Interact with patients, families, and staff to ensure quality care.
• Administer anesthesia solo or supervise trainees and CRNAs.
• Perform pre- and post-anesthesia evaluations and orders.
• Supervise CRNAs or trainees as required by the service.
• Contribute to teaching and advancement of the department.
