Qualifications

• US citizenship
• MD/DO degree and medical license in the US
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved residency in a core specialty
• Board certification for faculty status may be required
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Pre-placement medical requirements and immunizations
• Must meet VA qualification standards and be able to obtain/maintain credentials

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for outpatient, inpatient, and operating room cases
• Supervise anesthesia staff, students, residents, and physician extenders
• Ensure standards align with VA policies and procedures
• Provide fair and equitable on-call coverage as scheduled
• Participate in program oversight, education, and clinical governance
