Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks an experienced staff Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia services in a major VA medical center.

You will perform pre-operative assessments, intraoperative anesthesia care, and post-operative management for ASA 1–5 patients, while teaching residents and fellows. Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Residency in anesthesia approved by ACGME/AOA.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative evaluation and planning.
• Deliver intra-operative anesthesia care (MAC, regional, general).
• Post-operative care including ventilator management and PACU responsibilities.
• Participate in teaching and supervision of trainees and staff.
