Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Pittsburgh Healthcare System seeks a full-time Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care for diverse surgical cases, including liver/kidney transplants and cardiac surgery as applicable.

The role includes teaching anesthesia residents and collaborating with CRNAs and residents. Candidates should have an MD/DO with approved residency training and current unrestricted medical licensure in the United States, plus strong English

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency training approved by ACGME/AOA or equivalent leading to board eligibility.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative anesthetic care across a broad case mix.
• Pre- and post-operative evaluation and coordination in a team model.
• Teach anesthesia residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
