Job description

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a board‑certified anesthesiologist to join our adult transplant team. The position involves providing anesthesia for high‑volume transplant services, including liver, kidney, pancreas, small bowel, multivisceral transplants, and complex hepato‑biliary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for the adult transplant service and complex hepato‑biliary procedures.
• Manage perioperative care for patients undergoing liver, kidney, pancreas, small bowel, multivisceral and other transplant procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative staff to ensure safe and effective anesthesia management.
• Participate in teaching and education activities, providing mentorship to residents and medical students.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to transplant anesthesia protocols.

• Board‑certified anesthesiologist with training or exposure to transplant anesthesia.
