Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a well-established anesthesia team at a community hospital in Rutland, Vermont. This full-time, day-shift role includes an average of 3–4 weekday call shifts per month and collaboration with CAAs and CRNAs in a collegial, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia evaluations, general/ regional anesthesia, MAC, intraoperative monitoring, post-anesthesia care, and close coordination

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for or holding an active Vermont medical license.
• Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileges.
• Current ACLS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based anesthesia model.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical and procedural cases
• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage hemodynamic stability
• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, CRNAs, and CAAs
• Participate in shared weekday call schedule (3–4 shifts per month on average)
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards
