Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Anesthesiologist to join the care team under the Penn State Health system. The role emphasizes delivering comprehensive anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical procedures at a new, state-of-the-art facility once open.

Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO, completed anesthesiology residency, board eligibility or certification, and current medical licensure, with ECFMG/FLEX as applicable.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified.
• Current medical licensure.
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition and perform interventions as needed.
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
