Job summary

U.S. Army 2nd Medical Recruiting Battalion seeks an anesthesiologist to join a multidisciplinary health care team within the Army Reserve.

You will provide anesthesia services in surgical settings and support humanitarian missions while enjoying leadership development and comprehensive benefits. Candidates must hold an MD/DO from a US-accredited school, complete an anesthesiology residency, and have a valid US medical license with citizenship and permanent residency.

  • Must have MD or DO from an accredited US medical school; foreign grads may apply with permanent certificate from ECFMG.
  • Must have completed at least one year of an approved GME internship.
  • Current US medical license; eligibility for board certification; completion of anesthesiology residency.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
  • Must have completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
  • Eligibility for board certification
  • Completion of at least one year of an anesthesiology residency
  • Between 21 and 42 years of age
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Permanent U.S. residency
