Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is seeking a Hemodynamic Technician in Surgery to support anesthesia equipment troubleshooting, set up A-lines, assist with pre-procedure blocks, and scrub in for procedures. This role involves on-call rotations evenings, holidays and weekends, with training provided and reporting to the director of surgical services.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CPR (HCP) certification, and the ability to lift 100+ pounds and respond to on-call

Qualifications

• CPR certification (HCP) required.
• Basic technical skills to provide equipment troubleshooting within Anesthesia.
• Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 100+ pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes.
• LMH accreditation may require annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment.
• Provide proper surgery positioning of patient.
• Scrub in to assist with procedures on call and on weekends.
• Assist with setting up A-lines and pre-procedure blocks.
• Assist with induction of children.
• Properly clean rooms.
• Order and stock supplies.
• Transport patients to and from the inpatient unit.
• Interact effectively with hospital staff, offices, patients, families and guests.

Position Summary

According to established policies and procedures, the Hemodynamic Technician in Surgery is responsible for troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, setting up A-lines, assisting with pre-procedure blocks and scrubbing in to assist with procedures. This position will offer appropriate training. This position will participate in a call rotation to include evenings, holidays and weekends. On call hours are based on departmental needs.This position reports to the director of surgical services for the totality of work performance.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement, high school diploma or GED
• Maintain CPR certification (HCP)
• Basic technical skills to provide equipment troubleshooting support within Anesthesia
• Ability to lift, push, pull or carry an average of more than one hundred (100) pounds consistently throughout the shift
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
