Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesia personnel with the preparation and insertion of invasive monitoring equipment during peri-operative procedures. You will help ensure readiness of anesthetizing locations and maintain orderly, compliant workspaces.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications per guidelines to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective programs, while participating in hospital and department activities

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Emergency/Medical or related experience; Graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program; ASATT Certification preferred.

• Provides technical support to anesthesia personnel during the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment. (30%)
• Ensures that all anesthetizing locations are in a state of readiness. (30%)
• Maintain proper standards of cleanliness and organization of the Anesthesia workroom. (15%)
• Manages equipment, supplies, and medication according to established guidelines in order to maintain safe, efficient, and cost effective programs. (15%)
• Participates in hospital, division, and department activities.(10%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

Must meet one of the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Emergency/Medical or related experience
• Graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program

Preferred

• ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.)
