Job summary

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of clinical Anesthesia Technician experience preferred.
• Certification from American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred.
• EMT license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order and stock medications in the anesthesia carts; inspect for outdates prior to expiration.
• Assist with patient care activities under the direction of the Anesthesiologists and RN Circulator.
• Clean, maintain, and safety check all equipment per Infection Control and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of universal precautions in dealings with patients and equipment.
• Engage in teaching others in specifics of the department.
• Maintain inventory, ordering, receiving, and storing equipment and supplies.
• Keep anesthesia supply room and ORs clean and organized.
• Coordinate purchases with OR Supply Coordinator and Material Services.
• Participate in department QA/QI program.
