Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the preparation, maintenance, and operation of anesthesia equipment for operating rooms. You will collaborate with anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs to ensure equipment readiness and assist with advanced procedures.

The role requires BLS certification and a minimum of two years of anesthesia tech experience, with preferred technical education and professional certification. Evening shifts apply, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of two years' experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Four-year college education including related technical training, or two-year college education with closely related technical training plus two years of experience, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare anesthesia equipment prior to patient arrival and set up anesthesia monitors.
• Ensure cleanliness and availability of specialized anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Assist clinicians with difficult intubations and central line catheter placements.
• Operate cell-saver machine and monitor lab reports during complex surgical cases such as cardiac, liver transplant, vascular, thoracic, and trauma surgeries.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment, including infusion pumps, nerve stimulators, defibrillators, transport monitors, and anesthesia machines.
• Serve as a key resource for specialized anesthesia equipment usage and maintenance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of in-service training programs for anesthesia technologists.
• Set up operating rooms and carts between cases and provide full service setup at the end of the day.

This role involves assisting anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and other anesthesia personnel by ensuring equipment readiness, assisting with difficult procedures, and maintaining specialized anesthesia devices. The technician also participates in advanced surgical cases and supports training and preventive maintenance activities under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and availability of specialized anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Assist clinicians with difficult intubations and central line catheter placements.

Required Skills & Certifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of two years' experience as an Anesthesia Technician.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Four-year college education including related technical training, or two-year college education with closely related technical training plus two years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists registry or other nationally recognized professional certifying body.

Special Considerations

• Work includes holidays, weekends, on-call, and call-back duties as needed.
• May assist with advanced surgical cases requiring specialized anesthesia support.
• Must be able to work under limited direct supervision and collaborate effectively with clinical teams.

Scheduling

• Evening shift from 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
• Shift assignments may include holidays, weekends, and on-call coverage.
