Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Assists anesthesia personnel with the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment used during peri-operative procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides technical support to anesthesia personnel during the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment. (30%)
2. Ensures that all anesthetizing locations are in a state of readiness. (30%)
3. Maintains proper standards of cleanliness and organization of the Anesthesia workroom. (15%)
4. Manages equipment, supplies, and medication according to established guidelines to maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective programs. (15%)
5. Participates in hospital, division, and department activities. (10%)
6. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• Graduate from an Anesthesia Technician program.
• CPR – American Heart Association.

Preferred:

• Previous anesthesia technician experience.
