Job summary

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II PRN to support anesthesia providers in routine and urgent cases. You will prep rooms, maintain equipment, and assist with supply management to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

The role emphasizes a sterile environment, proper instrument handling, and collaboration with the anesthesia team for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CAT - Certified Anesthesia Tech required upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 Days of hire
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
• Provides support to anesthesia staff with preparation of room and equipment needed for patient care.
• Protects patient and personal safety by following department processes, maintaining a sterile environment and understanding equipment function.
• Maintains supply, equipment and pharmacy inventory to optimize delivery of anesthesia services. Maintains cleanliness and proper function of anesthesia equipment and workroom.
• Daily computer support. Troubleshoots equipment. Able to support Anesthesiologist in Optime.

CAT - Certified Anesthesia Tech

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support

One year experience preferred
