Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL seeks an Anesthesia Tech for the evening shift to support pre-, intra-, and post-operative care. You will set up supplies, maintain anesthesia stations, calibrate POC equipment, and assist with sterilization and documentation.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage with rotations including weekends and holidays; prior experience as Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or EMT is welcomed along with basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Associates Degree
• Experience: High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech or Associate's Degree if no clinical experience.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures
• Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover.
• Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation
• Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting
• Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Anesthesia Tech - Anesthesia Department - Evenings

Position Highlights:

• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours per week
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-9:30pm, on call required including rotating weekends and holidays.
• On Call hours: on call 7 days per month, Monday-Thursday Overnights 9:30p-6:00am Fridays 9:30a-6:30a, Saturday 3:00pm-6:00am, Sunday 24 hours. Rotation to Saturdays approximately once per month. One Holiday call per year 24 hours.

What you will do:

• Under direction of supervisor, assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures
• Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover.
• Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation
• Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting
• Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System

What you will need:

• Education: High School Graduate or Associates Degree
• Certification: N/A
• Experience: High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech or Associate's Degree if no clinical experience.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects.
