Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking an anesthesia technician to join the surgical team. Under the supervision of a perioperative nurse, you will prepare and set up equipment for each case and assist with prepping supplies for surgery.

You will connect monitoring lines, prepare infusion sets, operate physiological monitors, and support anesthesia providers. Two years of OR experience preferred; Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for experience.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of clinical OR experience in a hospital setting.
  • Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to prepare and set up anesthesia equipment.

Work Location: Providence Portland Medical Ctr-Portland

Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. The anesthesia technician supports the anesthesia providers by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case. This includes connecting monitoring lines, preparing infusion sets, and operating all common physiological monitors. The incumbent must be able to apply several specialized tests. May provide limited patient care as needed by assisting with prepping and opening supplies before surgery.

Required qualifications:

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room or as an Anesthesia Technician. Completion of Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.

Pay Range: $ 23.81 - $ 36.44
