Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Senior Operating Room Assistant (OR Core Tech or Set-Up Technician) for 0.01 FTE, Full Time, day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hour options).

You will retrieve and assemble supplies for each procedure, monitor sterile supply levels, coordinate locations of instruments, and assist in cleaning and preparing operating rooms. You may also transport patients and decontaminate instruments, delivering equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the Operating Room.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Senior Operating Room Assistant - Providence Portland Medical Center. This posting represents 0.01 FTE, Full Time, Day position (Variable days, evenings 8, 10, 12 hr shifts) No more than 40 hrs a week.

The Senior Operating Room Assistant (OR Core Tech or Set-Up Technician) retrieves and assembles (picks) all necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure. Monitors instrument and supply levels in the sterile supply areas. They also coordinate the location of supplies in the sterile supply area; collaborates with materials management to address shortages, assisting in cleaning and preparing operating rooms; safely transporting patients; retrieving, decontamination of instrumentation, delivering equipment; processing and maintaining equipment and instruments; may assist with opening supplies before surgery.
