Job Summary
The Anesthesia Technician will be under the general supervision of the Chief of Anesthesia. In addition to routine service areas and duties, the incumbent will be responsible for specialty cases such as Transplant, Spines, and Cardiac, including any unusual or complex situations. Additional service areas include Radiology, MRI, all pre-op and PACU facilities. Must possess and understand some medical terminology to interpret physician instructions.
The Anesthesia Technician must be able to use judgment and initiative to recognize conditions that could have potentially harmful outcomes to patient care. Works independently, has the ability to make decisions and set priorities with minimal guidance. Responsible for knowledge of and compliance with all applicable infection control, health, and safety policies and procedures as implemented by the department and UCSF Medical Center. Additionally, adherence to departmental policies and procedures, including telephone and house standards, is required.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range depends on factors such as work experience and internal equity at UCSF. For unionized positions, placement will follow the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $41.35 - $51.49 per hour.
