Job summary

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital is seeking a motivated Anesthesia Tech to join our team. We operate 25 beds, 8 OR rooms, and 3 ER rooms and provide outpatient orthopedic and spine procedures.

The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesiologist and circulating nurse with anesthesia administration and ensures supplies are available as needed, while supporting airway management and patient safety in the operating room.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Completion of Anesthesia Tech training or certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Two years' experience as an Anesthesia Tech is required.
• Good communication with physicians, staff and patients.
• Understands operation of anesthesia machines, monitors, and analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers in the OR with airway management and IVs.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in other departments as needed.
• Order, stock and maintain anesthesia supplies.
• Maintain anesthesia machines, crash cart and malignant hyperthermia carts daily.
• Assist with positioning patients for surgical procedures.
