Job summary

USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital is seeking a motivated Anesthesia Tech to join our team. The role supports anesthesiologists and circulating nurses, ensuring supplies are available and equipment is ready for procedures. This position serves in a busy surgical unit with orthopedic and spine specialties.

The Anesthesia Tech assists in airway management, IV placement, and responds to emergencies, while maintaining anesthesia machines and supply carts to support smooth OR operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Anesthesia Tech training or credential is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Two years' experience as Anesthesia Tech is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers in the OR with airway management and IVs.
• Respond to emergencies and assist as needed.
• Order, stock and maintain anesthesia supplies.
• Maintain anesthesia machines, crash carts and malignant hyperthermia carts daily.
• Respond to emergencies in other departments and assist positioning patients.
