Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health, located in Paterson, NJ, is seeking an ancillary support professional to assist anesthesiologists by ensuring all equipment is functioning, maintained and clean.

The role also ensures the department is stocked with supplies for procedures and readiness. This position requires completing two to three years of post-high school education, BLS certification within 3 months of hire, and on-call coverage for Open Heart Support.

Qualifications

Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of two or three years of Education beyond high school or equivalent. Relevant experience preferred. Work requires the ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Hospital policies and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within (3) months of hire.

BLS (Basic Life Support) required within (3) months of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
