Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL seeks an anesthesia technician to support operating rooms with timely equipment checks, cart stocking, and maintenance of anesthesia machines.

The role requires CPR certification, a high school diploma, and at least one year of anesthesia tech experience; completion of an ASATT-approved program is preferred. Join a team of healthcare professionals delivering compassionate South Florida care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Checks, maintains, and prepares anesthesia equipment (machines, EKG monitors, defibrillators) per policy/IFU.
• Cleans, checks, and stocks anesthesia carts daily.
• Reports any deficiency to Supervisor/Anesthesiologist.
• Maintains clean anesthesia supply room.
• Assists anesthesia personnel as delegated (blocks, central lines, etc.).
• Preceptor to new employees.
• Inspects equipment and reports deficiencies.
• Orders and maintains supply inventory.
• Troubleshoots anesthesia machines.

Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities

• Checks, maintains, and prepares all related anesthesia equipment according to policy and instructions for use (IFU) including but not limited to anesthesia machines, EKG monitors, defibrillators, etc.
• Cleans, checks and stocks all anesthesia carts daily.
• Reports any deficiency or fault in operation immediately to Supervisor/Anesthesiologist.
• Maintains a clean and orderly anesthesia supply room at all times.
• Assists anesthesia personnel as deligated including but not limited to blocks, central lines, etc.
• Functions as a preceptor to new employees.
• Inspects all equipment and reports any deficiency to supervisor and Biomed.
• Orders and maintains appropriate supply inventory.
• Troubleshoots anesthesia machines when necessary.

Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification
  • CPR certification required.
• Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience
  • 1 year anesthesia tech experience required. Completion of an ASATT approved acredited program preferred.
