Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia and surgical teams, ensuring equipment is prepared, sterile, and ready for use, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the patient’s surgical journey.

You will work closely with clinicians, assist with transfers and positioning, monitor devices, and respond quickly in emergencies while protecting patient privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Hospital based work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need.
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use.
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices.
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens.
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices.
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights.
