Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team and surgical staff, ensuring equipment is ready for every procedure.

You will prepare and organize equipment, assist with transfers, monitor devices, and maintain a clean, safe environment, always protecting patient privacy and rights and contributing to high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some patient care experience preferred, hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Set up, transport, and maintain anesthesia carts and equipment.
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, preparation, and monitoring devices.
• Act quickly and confidently in emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection prevention practices.
• Communicate with patients and families while protecting privacy.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• Prefer some patient care experience, preferable hospital based
