Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join the surgical team, ensuring anesthesia equipment is prepared and available for procedures, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

You will assist with transfers, positioning, monitoring devices, and uphold infection control standards in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Hospital-based work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules.
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment for safe use.
• Assisting patients with transfers, positioning, and monitoring device application.
• Responding quickly and confidently to emergencies.
• Maintaining a clean, safe environment via infection prevention practices.
• Communicating openly with patients and team while protecting privacy.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights

What qualifications you will need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• Hospital based work experience preferred
