Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team. The role involves acquiring, preparing and applying anesthesia equipment and supplies as delegated by a licensed anesthesia provider, and maintaining equipment before, during and after anesthesia.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of medical experience, and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

They provide this service by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies before, during and after anesthesia. The Anesthesia Technician demonstrates practical knowledge in all general areas involved in the support of anesthesia. Participates in on-call and off-shift coverage as required by departmental guidelines.

Schedule: Mon.-Wed. 12:00 pm-11:30 pm, and Fri. 6:30 am-5:00 pm.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• One year of previous medical experience in any field.

Certification/Licensure:

• BLS certification required.
