Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join our surgical services team. You will assist anesthesia providers during operative procedures, prepare anesthesia equipment, and support services to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment inventories and delivering comprehensive care to patients across the age spectrum undergoing invasive procedures, with emphasis on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED Required.
• 1 year direct patient care experience in a hospital setting; 2 years in operating room preferred.
• BLS Required; Cer.A.T. - Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers during operative procedures and prepare anesthesia equipment.
• Maintain inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

Assists anesthesia providers and other health care members in providing care to the patient undergoing an operative invasive procedure. Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies necessary for administration of general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia and supports anesthesia services. Maintains inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Job responsibilities include specific anesthesia and equipment related comprehensive care to the child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients undergoing invasive procedures.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 1 year experience with direct patient care experience in a hospital setting Preferred
• 2 years Previous experience in an operating room Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Cer.A.T. - Certified Anesthesia Technician Preferred
