Job summary

CHOC is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to provide anesthesia support across the medical center, collaborating with anesthesia and surgical teams. This part-time benefitted role supports the Special Delivery Unit with case prep, induction, extubation and room turnover between procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of anesthesia experience, a high school diploma, sterile technique knowledge, and the ability to operate various healthcare devices.

Will function as a member of the anesthesia and surgical team. Assists in case preparation, induction, extubation, technical and functional support, and case turnover of rooms between procedures.Pay RangeMinimum $29.48 Midpoint $39.04 Maximum $48.61Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.Position DetailsThis is a part time benefitted position that will support the needs within the Special Delivery Unit.Experience• Required: Minimum one ( 1) year of anesthesia experience in a hospital setting.Education• Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.Training• Required: Knowledge of sterile techniques to provide sterile hands-on assistance.Specialized Skills• Required: Familiar with the functioning and requirements of a surgical suite and the processes and requirements of anesthesia care. Demonstrate ability to utilize and maintain a wide variety of health care equipment. Demonstrate skill to respond quickly and efficiently in fast paced environment. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job. Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
