Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas hires an Anesthesia Technician to support CVIR/OR teams. You will help set up anesthesia machines, assist with patient transport and induction, and monitor equipment readiness to ensure safety and efficiency across all ages.

Required is a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year of hospital experience or Certified Anes Tech, and BLS certification. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality patient care in a busy operating suite.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1 year hospital experience or Certified Anes Tech, with internal skills assessment.
BLS certification required by AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

Operate and inspect CVIR/OR anesthesia machines for proper function.
Assist the Anesthesiologist with patient transport and induction.
Set up invasive monitoring lines and dressings for patients of all ages.
Perform blood gas analysis and distribute results to CVIR/OR.
Maintain oxygen supplies and organize tasks to support cost-effective, high-quality care.
