Job summary

Texas Health Resources Frisco, TX, seeks an Anesthesia Tech (PRN) to support anesthesia teams in a fast-paced surgical environment. You will assist with room setup, equipment readiness, sterile technique, and patient safety while helping meet KPIs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CAT certification on hire, BCLS current, and at least 1 year of anesthesia experience. PRN schedule; variable hours, no weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year anesthesia experience preferred.
• CAT certification expected upon hire.
• BCLS certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases.
• Assists with room and equipment preparation for patient care.
• Maintains sterile environment and ensures equipment function.
• Manages inventory of supplies, equipment, and pharmacy related to anesthesia.
• Keeps anesthesia workroom clean and equipment well-maintained.
• Performs daily computer tasks and troubleshoots equipment.
• Supports Anesthesiologist in Optime as needed.
• Contributes to KPIs related to patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent


• At least 1 Year Anesthesia experience (Strongly Preferred)


• CAT - Certified Anesthesia Tech (Upon Hire Required) And


• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)

What You Will Do

• Provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality patient care.


• Provides support to anesthesia staff with preparation of room and equipment needed for patient care.


• Protects patient and personal safety by following department processes, maintaining a sterile environment and understanding equipment function.


• Maintains supply, equipment and pharmacy inventory to optimize delivery of anesthesia services.


• Maintains cleanliness and proper function of anesthesia equipment and workroom.


• Daily computer support. Troubleshoots equipment.


• Able to support Anesthesiologist in Optime.


• Assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPIs related to patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, financial performances, organizational effectiveness and community health care (Reach Out Programs)
