Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesia personnel with preparation and insertion of invasive monitoring equipment during peri-operative procedures.

You will ensure readiness of anesthetizing locations, maintain a clean and organized anesthesia workroom, and manage equipment and supplies while supporting hospital activities and complying with HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year anesthesia tech or related experience.
• Graduate from accredited Anesthesia Tech program.
• ASATT Cer.A.T./Cer.A.T.T. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to anesthesia personnel during preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment.
• Ensures that all anesthetizing locations are in a state of readiness.
• Maintain proper standards of cleanliness and organization of the Anesthesia workroom.
• Manages equipment, supplies, and medication according to established guidelines to maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective programs.
• Participates in hospital, division, and department activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
