Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II to support CRNAs and Anesthesiologists in delivering safe perioperative care for all ages. You will prepare equipment, assist with airway management, and help maintain inventories and supplies in a fast-paced surgical suite.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to infection control, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality anesthesia delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Preferred ATT and ACLS certifications.
• Less than 1 year healthcare experience required.
• One year anesthesia technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia team with intubations, scopes, regional blocks, and induction.
• Support OR efficiency with on-time starts and quick room turnover.
• Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and inventory.
• Prepare invasive monitoring equipment and anesthesia carts.
• Adhere to infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Ensure compliance with staffing, attendance, and safety policies.
• Pursue continuing education and attend required trainings.
• Participate in peer interviewing and reviews as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned within job specifications.
