Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to provide technical and operational support for surgical procedures.

You will ensure anesthesia equipment, carts, and supplies are available and functioning, assist in preparing the OR environment, and support safe anesthesia delivery. Responsibilities include verifying equipment readiness, replacing gas tanks, obtaining requested supplies, and assisting with pediatric and adult patient positioning as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, monitors, and supplies used in surgical settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the anesthesia team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts and machines are ready in each room before surgery and between procedures.
• Replace anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Retrieve requested anesthesia supplies for the administering clinician.
• Prepare equipment for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensure monitoring equipment and supplies are ready.
• Troubleshoot and ensure the anesthesia machine is ready for use.
