Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia care team. The role focuses on maintaining equipment, preparing monitoring devices, and assisting with patient transport under supervision.

Typical schedule is 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with preference for Certified Anesthesia Technicians and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous anesthesia technician experience.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain anesthesia equipment (clean, sterilize, test, calibrate and troubleshoot).
• Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre/intra/post anesthesia.
• Assist with transport of patients and laboratory specimens as necessary.
• Explain procedures and operating equipment to patients.
