Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia services in our New York facilities. The role involves preparing IV medications, setting up equipment, and maintaining anesthesia machines to ensure patient safety and efficient operating room performance.

The candidate should hold an Anesthesia Technician Certification with 1–3 years of relevant experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with optional additional certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Anesthesia Technician Certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologist by setting up equipment and preparing intravenous medications as directed.
• Test and maintain anesthesia equipment; order, stock and maintain supplies and medications.
• Wash and sterilize reusable equipment and anesthetic machines.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
• Perform related duties as required; essential functions per ADA.
