Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician to support the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary on site at 243-245 Charles Street. The role requires preparedness of anesthesia carts and machines before and between surgeries, with responsibility for gas tanks and required equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• BLS Certification required.
• ASATT certification preferred.
• Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
• Cer.A.T - American Society of Anesthesia Technicians/Technologists preferred.
• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, monitors and supplies used in surgical settings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts are supplied, and machines are in each room prior to the schedule and between procedures.
• Check and replace anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Retrieve special anesthesia supplies requested by the anesthesia provider.
• Prepare complex equipment for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensure monitoring equipment and supplies are ready.
• Ensure the anesthesia machine is ready for use and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform daily anesthesia equipment inspections (suction, plugs, gas connections, oxygen, nitrous oxide).
