Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies for operating rooms. The role includes handling sterile techniques, assisting with line setups, and ensuring readiness of monitoring devices and drugs.

The technician will help position patients, assist with intubation as directed, and support transportation to recovery, while maintaining inventory and compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college courses in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology are preferred.
• Prior anesthesia tech or patient-care experience is preferred.
• BLS certification required; ASAT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs ordering anesthesia supplies and prepares equipment for operating rooms.
• Maintains equipment and stocks surgical rooms; ensures cleanliness.
• Assists anesthesia provider and responds to turnover between cases.
