Job summary

Centralus Health, the anesthesia support team for Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY, seeks an Anesthesia Technician to assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and procedural support for routine and emergency cases.

You will help prepare workstations, keep carts stocked, and ensure devices such as monitors, vaporizers, and infusion pumps are ready for use. Candidates should have basic healthcare exposure and willingness to learn new equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare experience
• Certification is encouraged and supported by the organization

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers with equipment setup and procedural support for routine and emergency cases.
• Prepare anesthesia workstations, carts, and procedure locations before cases and clear them after use.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use at all times.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and coordinate service with Biomedical Engineering or vendors as needed.
• Order, stock, test, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies; rotate stock to avoid shortages.
