Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an Anesthesia Aide in Boston, MA. You will assist anesthesiologists with equipment setup, patient preparation, and room turnover, while ensuring infection control for all anesthesia-related devices.

Responsibilities include maintaining anesthesia machines and carts, restocking supplies, and supporting the anesthesia team during procedures. A high school diploma or GED is required, and BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Stand/walk for extended periods while handling equipment and supplies.
• Push/pull heavy instrument carts up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Follow infection control guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Communicate clearly with surgical and nursing teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia staff with patient care and equipment setup.
• Prepare rooms at start of day and during turnover, restock supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of anesthesia machines, carts, and monitoring devices.
• Ensure unopened supplies and back-up equipment are available for cases.
