Job summary

Essential Functions

• Provides leadership and clinical direction of multiple related teams and/or entity-wide functions of SRNAs.
• Active in entity-wide strategic planning efforts and major initiatives as they relate to SRNAs.
• Develops operational and strategic plans for departments as it pertains to SRNA clinical scheduling
• Ensures CRNA providers are aware of and compliant with departmental, hospital, and medical staff policies.
• Oversees staffing and scheduling of CRNAs.
• Monitors patient experience and patient flow.
• Leads continuing education plans for CRNAs.
• Develops, evaluates, and manages quality and safety outcomes in collaboration with hospital and enterprise quality and safety standards.
• Serves as the strategic hub of effective & transparent communication between the CRNAs and other medical staff.

Qualifications Education

Master's Degree Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner required or Doctorate Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist [CRNA (NBCRNA)] - National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) required

Experience

Nurse anesthesiology Experience 3+ years preferred and Clinical leadership experience at least 1year preferred.

• Broad knowledge of modern health care administration practices and principles within a managed care environment, including nurse anesthetist standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrated effective managerial and administrative leadership of clinical operations.
• Effective analytical ability in order to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to, and solve complex problems and issues.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff (executive, front-line, trustees, and physicians) and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making in emergency situations.
• Ability to maintain patience and composure in difficult situations.
