Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a full-time Anesthesia Assistant in Rutland, Vermont. Join a well-established Department of Anesthesiology to support anesthesia care under supervision, perform pre-anesthesia assessments, and coordinate post-anesthesia duties.

Qualified candidates will complete an accredited Anesthesia Assistant program, hold or be eligible for state licensure, and possess BLS/ACLS. Relocation, loan assistance, and signing bonuses are offered along with comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Assistant program.
• Eligible for or holding appropriate state licensure (as required).
• National certification as an Anesthesia Assistant (if applicable).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to function effectively within a team-based anesthesia care model.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration and management of anesthesia care under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist.
• Perform pre-anesthesia patient assessments as directed.
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Assist with induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and report clinical changes promptly.
• Support post-anesthesia care as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, and nursing staff.
